SHINER COMANCHES AT REFUGIO BOBCATS

NOTES:
Shiner (11-1) advanced with an area win over Hearne. Refugio (10-2) beat Thorndale.
This is the sixth meeting of the former district foes in the last five years.
Refugio owns a 4-1 edge and one of those wins came in the playoffs.
Shiner ended the season ranked No. 4 in the state poll, and Refugio was ranked No. 9.
Shiner’s Donyai Taylor has rushed for 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Refugio’s Jordan Kelley and Austin Ochoa have combined to pass for 1,688 yards and 24 touchdowns, and Jake Tinsman has 39 receptions for 932 yards and 15 touchdowns.
The winner advances to the quarterfinals against the winner of Friday’s Mason-Brazos game.
