Both teams had their season opener canceled because of Hurricane Harvey.
The teams have played 13 times and Hallettsville holds a 10-3 lead in the series.
Hallettsville is ranked No. 4 in the state Class 3A poll after advancing to the Class 3A, Division I quarterfinals last season.
Shiner is ranked No. 11 in the Class 2A poll after advancing to the Class 2A, Division I area playoffs last year.
Hallettsville's DJ Taylor passed for 2,670 yards and 28 touchdowns last season, and Scooter Adams had 2,123 total yards and 31 touchdowns.
