MASON PUNCHERS VS. SHINER COMANCHES

Notes:
Shiner (8-3) advanced with a 41-12 win over Three Rivers.
Mason (9-2) beat Moody 49-7.
This is the sixth time in the last seven years these teams have met in the playoffs.
Mason owns a 3-2 edge, including a 44-20 area win in 2014.
Mason was ranked No. 11 in the Associated Press' final regular-season Class 2A poll, and Shiner was ranked No. 17.
Mason has won seven straight games and has averaged 51 points per game during that streak.
In its seven wins, Shiner has yielded an average of 8.5 points per game.
Shiner's Dadrian Taylor has rushed for 1,373 yards and 18 touchdowns.
The winner will advance to regional against the winner of Friday's game between Yorktown and Normangee.
