Shiner won its second consecutive UIL Class 2A state softball championship.

A state title was not the only repeat for the Lady Comanches.
Shiner pitcher Cece Darilek was selected as Player of the Year and Steven Cerny was named Coach of the Year for the second straight season on the Texas Sports Writers Association's Class 2A All-State Team.
Cerny directed the Lady Comanches to a 31-5 record in his third season that included a pair of wins by the 10-run mercy rule at the state tournament.
Darilek had a 22-3 pitching record with a 1.66 ERA and 141 strikeouts in 135.1 innings, and was the MVP of the state championship game.
She also hit .379 with eight doubles and 25 RBIs despite playing her entire senior season with two herniated discs.
Darilek was a first-team selection at pitcher.
Shiner sophomore Bethany Nevlud was named to the first team at utility/designated player.
Nevlud hit .453 with six home runs, seven triples, and 14 doubles. She also scored 50 runs and had 10 stolen bases.
Shiner second baseman Lauren Schuette and outfielder Hannah Nevlud were selected to the second team.
Weimar pitcher Darrian Smith, catcher Hunter Ervin and first baseman Makayla Kunz were named to the third team along with Refugio outfielder Loren Castellano.
Hallettsville pitcher Coco Caraway and second baseman Camille Grahmann were selected to the Class 3A second team.
Industrial catcher Jillian Jones was named to the third team.
Bay City pitcher Madison Garay was a third-team pick on the Class 4A team.
Earning honorable mention on the Class 4A team were Bay City catcher Taylor Mackenzie and third baseman McKayla Brown, and Beeville pitcher Saleen Flores.
Honorable mention selections on the Class 3A team were Hallettsville pitcher Rylee Trlicek and shortstop Kendyl Lange, and Rice Consolidated pitcher Brittany Sosa.
Class 2A honorable mention selections were Weimar shortstop Emma Holland and utility/designated player Allison Williams, Refugio pitcher Heather Wineman, catcher Kyra Klare and utility/designated player Allie Upton, Schulenburg third baseman Macey Thompson and shortstop Kyndal Kutac, and Woodsboro first baseman Amber Wigginton and utility/designated player Analissa Arriaga.
