Last year: Shiner, 47-16.

Notes: Shiner (7-0, 2-0) and Weimar (6-1, 2-0) play for the 43rd time in a battle for the outright district lead. Shiner has a 27-15 advantage in the overall series.

Shiner is ranked No. 4 in the state poll and has won six consecutive district games.

Shiner's defense is limiting opponents to an average of under nine points and 162 yards per game.

Shiner will play its first game without quarterback Brandon Cerny, who injured his ankle in last week's win over Ganado and was scheduled to have surgery Friday.

Shiner's Dadrian Taylor has rushed for a district-leading 744 yards and 15 touchdowns, and Chad Neubauer has rushed for 397 yards and two touchdowns.

Weimar's Curry Johnson, Jaden Blanks, Jacory Gordon and Brody Gall have combined to rush for 1,246 yards and 17 touchdowns, and Gall has passed for 517 yards and six touchdowns.
