Shiner girls named to all-state track team

Shiner's Maggie Grosenbacher and Kassidy Bishop were selected to the Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 2A all-state track and field team.
Grosenbacher, a junior, captured bronze medals in the 3200- and 800-meter runs at the state meet.
Bishop, a sophomore, competed in the long jump, triple jump, 200-meter run and ran a leg on the 400- and 800-meter relay at the state meet.
Last weekend, the Lady Comanches Track team racked up a total of 37 team points, good enough for a fourth place finish in Class 2A overall.
