LA GRANGE - Tied at seven in the top of the seventh inning, Shiner got a gift of sorts from Thrall's pitcher. Not in the form of a misplaced fastball or a hanging curve, but a balk.

Ky Sandelovic pitched a complete game for the Comanches, who won 8-7 on a called balk against Thrall in the top of the seventh that allowed the winning run to score.
Game 2 and 3 of the series are Saturday in La Grange.
The Comanches rallied from early deficits to tie the game at 7. They were down by as many as three runs with two left to play. But Sandelovic held Thrall's offense off the board for the final three innings of the game, allowing the team's bats to come alive to win Game 1.
