SHINER - A strong running game gave the Shiner Comanches a 14-10 win over the Poth Pirates, Shiner's Dustin Mayberry carried the ball 17 times for 56 yards, including a first quarter 12-yard touchdown run.

Kyle Condel carried the ball 14 times for Shiner for 78 yards with a third quarter 34-yard touchdown run.
The Comanches also scored in the third quarter on a safety after cornerback Cody Curtis forced a fumble and Poth recovered it in its end zone.
Poth scored on an 8-yard touchdown run in the first quarter by Willie Fluitt, followed by an extra point kick by Derek Sefcik, who also kicked a 43-yard field goal in the second quarter.
