WOODSBORO -- Shiner’s D.J. Pustka scored four touchdowns, including three in the second quarter, to lead the Comanches’48-point first half in a 48-0 Class 1A, Division I bi-district victory over the Ben Bolt Badgers.
Shiner (8-3) advanced to the area playoffs.
Pustka scored on runs of 2, 3, and 14 yards and also caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kyle Condel.
Cody Franke started the scoring with a 50-yard touchdown run just 55 seconds into the game. Condel scored on a 3-yard run and Pustka added his 2-yard score as the Comanches built a 21-0 lead after one quarter.
Franke had a 79-yard punt return for a touchdown midway through the third quarter for Shiner’s other score.
The Comanches’ defense held the Badgers (4-7) to five first downs and 77 total yards.
