Louise has an area-leading seven interceptions while Shiner has a turnover ratio of minus seven. Shiner has won 17 of its last 18 district games. Louise's Kyle Lawson has rushed for 525 yards and eight touchdowns. Shiner's Kyle Condel and D.J. Pustka have combined to rush for 472 yards and one touchdown.

Charlotte has the top-ranked defense in the district, yielding an average of 153.5 yards per game, and the district's second-ranked offense, averaging 306.8 yards per game. Flatonia is surrendering an average of 331.5 yards per game. Flatonia's Jordan Williams has passed for a district-leading 569 yards and four touchdowns and Adrian Lighteard has rushed for 330 yards and five touchdowns. Charlotte's Stephen Wilson has rushed for a district-leading 605 yards and five touchdowns.

NOTES: Woodsboro (1-3) and Falls City (1-3) meet in their District 31-1A opener. Falls City goes for its 11th straight win over Woodsboro, including its fourth consecutive district win. Woodsboro defeated Agua Dulce 18-14 last week to give new head coach Brad Vickers his first win. Woodsboro's three losses have been to Class 2A teams. Woodsboro is ranked last in the district in defense, yielding an average of 339.3 yards per game. Falls City is ranked last in the district in offense, averaging 222.5 yards per game.
