Shiner trio named all-tourney

AUSTIN - Three Shiner Lady Comanches were selected to the 2007 UIL Class 1A state softball all-tournament team selected by the Texas Girls Coaches Association.

Sophomores Alyssa Strauss, Ieisha Flowers and Heather Haas were among those selected to the team following Saturday's tournament play.
Shiner dropped a 4-1 decision to Bosqueville in the championship game Saturday, after blanking McLeod 3-0 in the semifinals on Thursday.
Bosqueville had five players named to the all-tournament team, including senior MVP Raygen Feight. Joining Feight on the team were junior Ashley Barnes and sophomores Grace Getman, Haley Feight and Morgan Elkins.
Also named to the team were Seymour senior Jennifer Latham and McLeod senior Whitney Idom.
