Thrall head coach Jeff Doege and the Tiger football team knew as soon as their victory against Granger last week ended that they had a daunting challenge ahead of them. That challenge made the two hour drive from Shiner in full force and proved to those in attendance that they are every bit worthy of their ranking.
The Comanches, ranked as the seventh best team in Texas 1A-I football, came in and unleashed a physical explosive rushing attack on their way to defeating the Tigers 32-6. Shiner rushed for 234 yards in the first half and finished with 398 on 42 carries for a nine and a half yard average.
