Both the St. Paul Cardinals and Shiner Comanches have district road games this week: St. Paul heads north to Temple to play Central Texas Christian; Shiner heads for Ganado to battle the Indians.

SHINER COMANCHES AT GANADO INDIANS

The Comanches are at Ganado this week for district game No.3.

"We know Ganado is going to be a tough opponent," Shiner head coach Daniel Boedeker said. "Their offense is scoring point and quarterback Kyle Bures-Guerrero is a greath athlete."

The Indians are 2-0 in district (4-4 overall), are scoring 27 points a game while yielding 31 points a game.

Ganado lines up in the spread and will throw the ball plenty.

Bures-Guerrero is the engine of the offense with 565 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns while throwing 113-of-183 for 1,233 yard, 10 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Riley Hurt is the leading receiver with 49 catches for 589 yards and six touchdowns.

"We especially need to be aware of Bures-Guerrero because he is a good runner," Boedeker said.

The Indians run the 4-3 on defense with a big line and linebackers that move quick to the football.

Shiner will need stellar play out of the offensive line to counter the Indians' size on the defensive line.

Dylan Holt leads the defense with 66 tackles and two tackles for loss.
