Donyai Taylor scored on a 52-yard fumble return and Tyler Mikes scored on a short run as the Comanches scored a touchdown early in the first and second quarters, and then kept the Cobras out of the end zone in a 14-0 win Friday ( September 7, 2018 ) at Industrial High School in Vanderbilt.

The win improves the Comanches to 2-0 in the season; the defense worked and earned its second straight shutout.

The offense struggled a little with ball security as it fumbled 10 times.

Doug Brooks led Shiner on the ground with 54 yards on nine carries with Devin Lehnert, Lane Nevlud, Taylor, Trevor Haynes and Mikes all getting carries.

Mikes completed one pass, a 36-yard to C.J. Miller.

On defense, Miller had an interception.

The Comanches return home for two straight weeks, playing Burton in the 2018 Homecoming game tomorrow.
