Comanches remain undefeated

Shiner Comanche Football The Comanches traveled to Weimar on Friday (October 23, 2015) to take on the only other remaining undefeated team in District 15-2A Division I.

Shiner came home with a 29-7 win, a 3-0 district record, and a clear lead in the district standings.

Shiner spread their scoring evenly across the course of the game, with one touchdown in each quarter. They had two rushing touchdowns and two passing.

The scoring runs came from an 87-yard run by Dadrian Taylor, who had 158 yards on 11 carries bringing him to 908 total yards on the season, and a 13 yarder by Chad Neubauer who added 50 rushing yards on the night, kicked 3 successful extra points and completed a 32-yard pass to Caleb Oden.

The other two touchdowns came on passes from quarterback Ty Boedeker to Justin Stovall. Boedeker completed 2 of his 3 pass attempts for 34 passing yards.

Defensively, the Comanches held the Wildcats to 117 rushing yards, 71 passing yards, and just a single touchdown in the final quarter of play.

Taylor and Stovall each had an interception as well.

The Comanches, still a spotless 8-0 on the season, will return to district action at home on Friday (October 30, 2015) against the Schulenburg Shorthorns. The Shorthorns are 4-4 this season, 0-3 thus far in district.

It will be Parent’s Night for the Comanches and kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m.
