Garet Pustka's pass to Chris Baer for the PAT was good and Shiner was up, 8-0 with 6:31 left in the first period.

The Cowboys were forced to punt and Shiner was in good field position on the D'Hanis 48.

Chris Baer and Franklin alternated carries to the 9-yard line. Franklin then found a hole off left tackle and scored for his second touchdown. Franklin tacked on the two-point conversion and Shiner led 16-0 with 3:52 left in the first quarter.

Robbie Pavelka, Ryan Spann, Jason Caka, Flores and Dawson teamed up on the Cowboys' next series of downs and forced a punt. Shiner was back in business on their 46-yard line with two minutes left in the first period.

The quarter ended with the Comanches on the Cowboys 2-yard line.

Two penalties and a stalwart D'Hanis defense kept Shiner out of the end zone and the Cowboys took over on their 2-yard line.
Quarterback Garet Pustka scrambles and rolls out of the pocket for good yardage against D'Hanis. Pustka engineered the Comanches to a 22-8 win over the Cowboys in the important district contest.

The Comanche defense again held and Shiner got the ball on the Cowboys' 43-yard line. On the first play, Pustka raced 43 yards down the sideline before being knocked out of bounds at the D'Hanis 3.

Franklin then bulled his way into the end zone for Shiner's final score of the night. The conversion was no good but the Comanches were ahead, 22-0 at intermission.

The third quarter was all Shiner defense with quarterback sacks by Adron Price and Steven Evans and interceptions by Jason Caka and Ouentin Wright.

D'Hanis finally got on the scoreboard with 8:02 left in the final quarter following an 11-play, 93-yard march, climaxed by a 22-yard touchdown run by Lance Rothe. The two-point conversion made the final 22-8.
