The Shiner Comanches powered their way past the Louise Hornets 66-7 in District 31-1A action Friday at Comanche Stadium.

Shiner scored on nine touchdowns, seven extra points, a field goal and a safety with six Comanches putting points on the board.
Chris Baer scored on runs of 3,4,7 and 10 yards, all in the first half and added another 3-yarder to open the third quarter. Baer, who rushed for 82 yeards on 11 carries, and had some good punt returns, also had a 32-yard touchdown run nullified by a penalty.
Kenzley Wright scored on a 10-yard run and a 37-yard pass reception. Chase O'Connor scored on a 24-yard pass and Jared Boedeker had a 46-yard touchdown run.
Scott Shimek was good on five PAT kicks and added a 21-yard field goal. Ryan Kloesel tacked on two PATs.

Shiner's potent offense rushed for 328 yards and added 61 yards through the air on two pass completions for Trey Curts that went for touchdowns.
Overwhelmed by the Comanche defense, the Hornets netted only 56 yards rushing, 15 passing and five first downs.
Jared Boedeker picked off one pass and recovered a fumble. Bucky Boehm also had an interception.
The Comanches kept the Louise offense backed up deep in Hornet territory the entire game and, except for a 74-yard touchdown run by C.J. Clemens late in the game, they never crossed mid-field.
Shiner took a 7-0 lead with 9:20 left in the first period with a 3-yard run by Baer. Less than two minutes later, he drove in from the four for another touchdown. Scott Shimek added both PATs and the Comanches had all the points needed for the night.

But with 4:57 left in the first period, Kenzley Wright pulled in a 37-yard scoring strike from Trey Curtis and Chase O'Connor scored on a 24-yard pass late in the period and Shiner led 27-0.
Shiner added another 19 points in the second period on touchdown runs of seven and ten yards by Baer, a 21-yard field goal by Shimek, and a safety. The score stood at 46-0 at intermission.
Baer added his fifth touchdown of the night on a 3-yard run to open the third period. Ryan Kloesel boothe the PAT and Shiner led 53-0.
Jared Boedeker joined the scoring parade wiht a 46-yard run late in the period.
Wright tacked on his second touchdown of the night with a 10-yard run with 7:35 left in the game. Kloesel again split the uprights to up the score to 66-0.
The Hornets avoided the shutout on Clemens scoring run with 5:45 left in the game. David Manzano added the PAT.
The #1 state ranked Comanches will take a 7-0, 3-0 record to Woodsboro (1-6, 1-2) this Friday for a district clash.
