The Shiner Comanches had little trouble against Charlotte Friday, downing the Trojans 47-0 in the district opener for both teams. Quentin Wright's 86-yard opening kick off return set the momentum for the Comanches as they dominated both offensively and defensively.

Chris Baer added a 1-yard run. R.J. Lester was good on two PATs and Pustka ran in a 2-point conversion and Shiner was up 28-0 going into the second period.
Lester took over at the quarterback slot in the second period and the Comanches continued their offensive surge.
On the first play, Steven Evans took the hand off from Lester, beat the line and had clear sailing for 69 yards into the end zone.
Charlotte had their best effort following the kick off, driving to the Comanche 30-yard line.
Desmond Brooks stopped the Trojan momentum, picking off a tipped pass and racing 70 yards for a touchdown. Lester's kick made it 41-0.
The Trojans battled back and fought their way to the Comanche 23-yard line before giving up the ball on downs on their last possession before intermission.
After taking the second half kick off, the Trojans, led by quarterback Alfred Salazar, marched to the Comanche 25-yard line.
But another Comanche defensive effort shut down the Trojan offense. This time it was Adron Price who intercepted a pass on the 16-yard line to put Shiner back in control.

After an exchange of punts, the Comanches embarked on their last scoring drive from their 38-yard line to start the final period.
A fourth down pass to Casey Coleman kept the drive alive on the Trojan 17-yard line. Adron Price carried twice and then fought his way into the end zone from five yards out. Lester's kick was blocked but Shiner's lead was upped to 47-0.
Still fighting for that first touchdown, the Trojans advanced to the Comanche 30 before giving up the ball again.
Still another effort by the Trojans was thwarted in the final seconds of the game as Wright made a leaping interception of a pass to preserve the 47-0 shut out.
