Two touchdowns each by Chris Baer and Trey Curtis was more than enough to beat the East Bernard Brahmas last Friday at Brahma Stadium.

Baer, who rushed for 103 yards, scored on a 2-yard run in the first period and again on a 21-yard run in the third quarter.
Curtis scored both his touchdowns in the second period on runs of one yard and 22 yards. Curtis had 12 carries for 99 yards.
The last score came late in the third quarter on a 1-yard run by Ryan Kloesel, giving the Comanches a 35-0 win.
The Comanches passed only one time and that was on the first play of the game. A halfback pass from Baer to Nick Evans covered 46 yards and set up Baer's first touchdown on the Brahma 2-yard line
The Shiner defense was relentless in pursuit of Brahma running backs, allowing only 58 yards rushing. East Bernard managed only seven first downs and were forced to punt seven times. Junior Brent Mica did a good job avoiding the punt rush, booting the ball for a 33-yard average.

Curtis' first touchdown came on a quarterback keeper from two yards out early in the second period on a 57-yard drive. Scott Shimek, who kicked three PATs and passed for another, made it a 15-0 game with 10:47 left in the second period.
Shiner's next drive was stopped on the Brahma 3-yard line when David Mays recovered a Comanche fumble.
The East Bernard offense, however, went only four downs before Shiner took over on the Brahma 29. Three plays later Curtis scored on a 22-yard run. The 2-point conversion failed but the Comanches enjoyed a 21-0 lead at intermission.
East Bernard opened the second half with a 9-play drive that reached the Shiner 48, but a penalty set the ball back to the Brahma 36 forcing another Mica punt.
Baer then capped a 51-yard drive with a 21-yard touchdown run. Shimek's kick made it 28-0 with 4:04 left in the third period.
This Brahma running back is in the grips of Comanche defender Jared Boedeker as Chris Baer closes in to assist.
A fumble recovery on East Bernard's 21-yard line late in the period set up Shiner's final score with Ryan Kloesel doing the honors from 1-yard out. Shimek's kick made the final 35-0.
The fourth quarter saw some new faces as the Shiner coaching staff made liberal substitutions. Nevertheless, the Shiner defense held on two East Bernard possessions to preserve the shut out.
Besides Baer and Curtis, the Shiner rushing game included Kenzley Wright with 49 yards, Isaac Casares with 18 and Kyle Condel with two yards.
Derrick Wilson was the leading rusher for East Bernard with 36 yards on 12 carries. Matt Petrosky completed 8-of-10 passes for 47 yards with Roman Hernandez getting five catches for 27 yards.
The Comanches will host Boling at Comanche Stadium this Friday. Shiner was a 7-6 winner over Boling last year, so Friday's contest should prove to be a good one. Game time is 7:30.
