AUSTIN -- Holly Haas had four hits and drove in five runs to lift Shiner to a 16-4 win over Lindsay in the Class 1A state softball semifinals Thursday.
Ashley Shimek improved to 23-0 by allowing four hits and striking out eight to lift Shiner (31-4) over Lindsay (31-12).
It was the 19th straight win for Shiner, which is going for its fourth state title in nine trips to the state tournament. Shiner will play Grapeland for the championship Saturday.
