The Shiner Comanches wrapped up a district title as they blanked Schulenburg 40-0 on Friday (October 30, 2015).
Presently, Shiner is 4-0 while Weimar and Refugio are both 3-1 with Flatonia at 2-2, and the Schulenburg and Ganado both at 0-4.
Shiner travels to Flatonia for the final district game this week (November 6, 2015). A Flatonia victory would put Shiner at 4-1, but would hold first place as Weimar will play Refugio and Shiner has defeated both teams.
Against the Shorthorns, Justin Stein ran for 98 yards on six carries with a touchdown; Ty Boedeker had six carries for 55 yards and two touchdowns; Dadrian Taylor had eight carries for 63 yards and one touchdown; Justin Stovall had 54-yard touchdown run on his lone carry; Charles Haynes ran seven times for 52 yards; Chad Neubauer had eight carries for 21 yards and Dustin Petras had two carries for 4 yards.
Boedeker completed 1-for-4 passes for 10 yards with Neubauer getting the reception.
The Comanche defense gave up just 106 yards of offense to Schulenburg.
