BEN BOLT -- Warnings are always given from coaches to players in regards to facing opposing teams who may not come in with the best looking win-loss records. Players are warned to not take anything lightly and that on any given night, anybody can beat anybody.

The warning may have needed to be a bit sterner in Ben Bolt locker room as the Shiner Comanches, who upped their record to 2-4, defeated the previously unbeaten Ben Bolt 27-23.

Gabriel Ramirez electrified the crowd on the opening kickoff, taking it 97 yards down the Ben Bolt sideline, which happened to be the first and last time Ben Bolt would hold the lead.

Ben Bolt was in catch-up mode for the entire game after Ramirez's opening touchdown as the Comanches basically played keep away as their slow paced Veer offense kept a usual potent Badgers offense on the sidelines.

Shiner pounded the rock nearly every play as they gained close to 275 yards, while only attempting passes three passes when needed.

Sophomore quarterback Jacob Stafford completed all three attempted passes and also ran for 104 yards with one score from 13 yards out.

After a punt by Ben Bolt, Shiner once again matriculated down the field with hard dives and options as they went up by a score of 14-7 when Zack Lawrence took one in from nine yards out.

Gabriel Ramirez, who was used sparingly in the first half, was unleashed in the second half as he received 10 of his 15 touches, gained 65 yards and caught a trio of passes for 58 yards

All-everything stud Andres Alaniz was double-teamed the entire night by the Comanche defense, but still managed to grab two passes for 43 yards and scored on a nine-yard end around in the third quarter.
