QUARTERBACK: Shiner senior Jacob Stafford has only completed six pass attempts in the postseason, but he has rushed for at least 180 yards in each of the Comanches' last two postseason games. Stamford quarterback Bo Wimberly went into last week's state semifinal game against Hico with 25 touchdown passes and 25 rushing touchdowns.

OTHER OFFENSE: Marcus Coleman and Chad Neubauer each rushed for over 100 yards in last week's 49-22 win over Mart. Stamford senior James Washington has recorded over 1,000 receiving yards in each of the past two seasons.

DEFENSE: Shiner has allowed 13.6 points per game this season, and the Comanches have shut out three opponents. Stamford is giving up 18.5 points per game, and the Bulldogs have not recorded a shutout since the season's second week.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Shiner kicker Hunter Mraz has made his last 12 extra-point kicks. Washington has made Stamford's one field goal attempt this fall.

INTANGIBLES: Shiner is playing for its third state championship, but the Comanches have not won a title since 2004. Stamford returned eight starters this season from a team that beat Mart in the 2012 Class A, Division I championship game.
